A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials examined the effects of melatonin supplementation on sleep quality in adults with various health conditions.
The analysis revealed that melatonin intake significantly improved sleep quality, as measured by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Participants who received melatonin experienced better overall sleep compared to those who did not.
